About Us

Sarah Murdoch

Sarah began her life as a baby in Easton, Pennsylvania. Shortly thereafter, her parents, her older sister, and she relocated to the countryside where they were eventually joined by another sister, some cats, a dog, and several horses. There she spent many happy days playing in her mother's gardens and dressing her cats in "people" clothes. As she grew, Sarah's interests evolved from childish dress-up games to professional dress-up when she began acting in local community and college theatre productions. At the ripe old age of 10 years, and with all the wisdom afforded to her, Sarah decided that she had found her calling in life and resolved to become an actress.

She graduated high school from the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Performing Arts where she studied theatre in 2005. After taking a year for private study in New York City, Sarah went to college in the far-off frozen land of Connecticut to obtain a B.F.A. in Acting from UConn. Now in her Junior year, she has already performed in two Equity shows with the Connecticut Repertory Theare and in a university production, and is an Equity Membership Candidate.

Matt Billard

Matt has been blessed with a unique childhood traveling between many countries. His father and mother met in South Africa when his father took an overseas assignment with Pratt & Whitney. With their four boys, they lived in many countries including Wales, Brazil, South Africa, and even Egypt.

After graduating in front of the pyramids, Matt and his twin brother, Justin, went to the University of Connecticut. Justin graduated with a Mechanical Engineering degree and now works at Otis Elevator. Matt graduated with honors and a degree in graphic design and now owns XillionDesign, a website developement company. Both seek to help others and serve the Lord with the opportunities they have been given.

How We Met

Sarah and Matt first met at the University of Connecticut during the fall of 2006. Although Sarah was just starting college, Matt had just graduated . The two immediately noticed each other but did not have many opportunities to spend time together due to Sarah's busy acting schedule. Nevertheless, during the spring of 2007, because of their mutual friends from their Christian campus group, R.U.F., the two had many opportunities to get to know one another. Matt's attention was first captured by Sarah's natural warmth, spontaneity, and great sense of humor as they ice-skated in his hometown of Hebron, Connecticut on a beautiful winter day. Sarah, oblivious to his romantic intentions, had dinner with Matt and attended several plays, thinking they were "just friends."

Although they had more and more occasions to get to know each other before the end of the semester the impending summer break threatened to derail the potential new relationship. Undaunted, Matt followed Sarah all the way down to Panama City, Florida for the annual R.U.F. summer retreat. On the final night of the trip, looking up at the beautiful night stars, the two finally decided to date each other. After dating for a full year, Matt proposed to Sarah on a moonlight night on the very same beach.
